Thank You for all the wonderful birthday wishes!! I had a great birthday! I went to lunch with a girlfriend at the Olive Garden and then was pampered at the salon with a pedicure and manicure, including a hot rock massage. For dinner, Aurelio took me to The Melting Pot, my favorite fondue restaurant! They refused to serve me a virgin martini in a martini glass because of some "new law" that states you cannot put non-alcoholic beverages in an alcoholic glass. Ugh, whatever. The food was delicious though, and my table was decorated with balloons and fondue chocolate to take home. It was a very nice dinner with some great company.

I'm starting to wonder how I'm ever going to find a job. I've started looking for something other than marketing because those jobs are so scarce right now.
Aurelio and I joined some groups on meetup.com; I joined a group called 'momtourage', it's a bunch of stay at home moms who organize play dates for their kids. I don't quite fit in yet; being that I don't have a child. They were all very nice to me at the last meet up and gave me some great advice. They are also happy to give me some hand-me-down maternity clothes and some baby starter items.
Tomorrow I'm meeting with a group of women who are currently pregnant. (6, including me) We are all going to get some pizza and chat about our experiences. I'm looking forward to having some girls to swap horror stories with. Plus, it looks like we are all due around the same time; so our babies will have buddies.
I'm looking into Lamaze classes as well as infant classes so we are fully prepared when it comes time for the birth.
Feels like my days are full of baby things and thoughts; just excited I guess.

The dentist apt went really well and I really like our new Doc.
As long as I get doctors approval I'll be in NH in May! My mother is walking at the graduation in May; though she's already received her Associates Degree. I'll be as big as a house by May - but as long as it's healthy to fly at that time - I'll be there.
It is 80 degrees here today!! I took a few minutes to lay by the pool while the dogs ran around the yard. I wish the warm days would fall on the weekends so Aurelio and I could go out and enjoy them. He came home for lunch and enjoyed the hammock with me for 20min; then he took the Audi to work - top down.
I'm looking forward to spring when it's nice and warm all the time. Come summer I'll be begging for some relief from the 104 degree days!
January 20, 2008
We've been really busy unpacking and moving boxes to get the house set up. I've also been busy trying to schedule doctor's appointments - and finally have a dentist apt today - my first since 2006! Jeez!
Yesterday I was able to be really productive around the house moving storage bins out to the garage, I'm normally unable to pick anything heavy up, because of the baby. But yesterday I found Aurelio's Dolly and was so excited to get all that work done. We finally have a spare bedroom for company!! Bed and all! The room was fully of boxes previously.
On the 17th we went to dinner with a bunch of couples at the Indian Palace; it's a nice place; I just don't think I like Indian food all that much. We met a lot of great people that we are looking forward to hanging out with again.
The job hunt is coming along slowly but surely. Hopefully I'll have something in the next two weeks. Was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. But I'm sure SOMETHING will turn up!
January 3, 2008
We are back in Texas now; back to all the unpacking and settling in. Our house is still full of boxes - but we're working hard to get the kitchen and the office set up before Aurelio goes back to work. I've got to focus hard on getting some interviews this week...need a job soon :). I've enjoyed having some time to learn how to make websites and make baskets, etc, but it's time to go back into the work force.
We spent New Years in NH, it was nice, nothing too crazy. Amanda and Justin, Dad and Jeanette, Aurelio and I and Grammy Hutchins. Was so nice to just relax and spend time together. I came down with a cold, and barely made it to midnight, soon as the ball dropped - so did all of us.
Dad has a pet frog now; only because he didn't have the heart to leave it out in the snow after the time came to put away his little pond for the winter...that lil guy has gotten so big, and he's sneaky too. Escaped twice while we were there!! :) Now he's safe inside his aquarium and enjoying crickets.
Today it is 80 degrees here - which the locals say is very unusual for this time of year. We put up the hammock and enjoyed the waterfall in the pool for a while before betting back to our chores. After leaving 9 degree weather in NH, 80 seemed like a dream. Tomorrow it is supposed to get back down to the normal 40 or 50...

We had a fun filled week! Lots of memories made this week... Aurelio and I announced to everyone that a baby is on the way; we were able to having a nice week with the whole Hutchins/Verge crew and got to have a Christmas with the Sandstroms as well!
Our Wildwood memories were full of activities: painting pottery in White River Jct (Aurelio and I painted Asian bowls that have built-in chopstick rests), went to a play at Northern Stage (Les Miserables), and even went on a horse drawn sleigh ride on some land that used to belong to my great great grandfather (where we also had hot dogs, smores, and hot cocoa around an icy fire)
We were able to stay an extra week because of our work schedules; so we were able to sneak in some ice skating, and Aurelio's first taste of skiing. Which he LOVED! :)
Christmas in Manchester was very nice, catching up with Amanda, Chris, and Mom. We had a wonderful ham dinner and every received gifts that were so perfect for them. Lily and Daisy enjoyed running around together and bothering the cats; they love grandma's house :). My mother was VERY nice to let us leave the dogs there for two weeks so they could play and enjoy their stay too. Next year we'll need to spend some more time together...especially since we'll be bringing a new baby with us ;).
December 23, 2008
We finally made it to NH!! Because of the winter snow storms they were having in the northeast we had three flights canceled and ended up having to take a flight from Dallas to DC, then onto Manchester NH. We were afraid we might get stuck in DC, so we packed plenty of munchies and things to keep us busy incase we were there for a night. Thank goodness we were not!
Our two little chihuahua's accompanied us and were very good on the long trip.
December 11, 2008
Packing is in full swing as we only have today and tomorrow to finish the entire house! The moving truck is arriving on the 13th to take our belongings and cars. We'll fly to Dallas on Monday morning to close on the house. Hopefully we'll be reunited with our things on Wednesday...just in time to unpack a little and fly to NH for Christmas vacation. We are so looking forward to spending time by the fire sipping hot cocoa and playing in the snow. Will be such a nice break from the chaos we've been living the past few months!
December 3, 2008
Today we went for our first ultrasound! The baby is only 2.5inches but was moving its arms and legs...was really neat to see! They think our due date is June 13, 2009; but we need to get a doctor in Dallas TX when we get there and have another ultrasound done in a month or so to really determine the date. I've been feeling pretty nauseous for the past 2 months and am really looking forward to the joys in the 2nd trimester.

I'm pregnant!!!!!!!!!! Wow! As if we didn't have enough going on; it seems as though our little one is coming a few years earlier than expected. We are very excited and looking forward to July 2009 when we'll be adding another member to our family!!

The company Aurelio will be working for is in Mesquite, TX (ID SOFTWARE). We looked at homes in Rockwall, garland and in the Shores neighborhoods. We have 4 beautiful houses we are choosing from...two with pools...the other two with so much space and the ability to build a pool in the future if we wanted to. We are trying to decide whether we should buy a cheaper house that is a little smaller (more of a starter home) or if we should go for the one with 3600 sq ft. that we are able to grow into and live for years and years to come. I think we'll most likely go with one of the smaller houses...just so much room that we don't absolutely need. The one house I really liked was out about 30min into the country, has almost 2 acres. of land and is absolutely beautiful - I wish we'd taken pictures of the master bathroom, it was so big Aurelio called it a locker room - it also had two walk in closets in the master bedroom. AMAZING! But the drive to civilization is a little disappointing.
We'll keep you up to date...but you can be sure; we'll be in TX by Christmas....but don't think for one minute that will stop us from being in NH for a white Christmas :)
October 20 , 2008
Brazil was beautiful!! Lots of beaches, mountain peaks and we even got to feed some monkeys! LOL! We also learned that our Portuguese was not up to par. We had a little trouble communicating with the local's but everyone was very nice to us anyway. Rio is almost like NYC when it comes to the driving...except a lot more scary and there are motor bikes everywhere that drive in between the cars - had to see it to believe just how crazy it is. We weren't able to do as much shopping as we would have liked and found that American clothes are very popular there. So, we got a few t-shirts and a couple summer dresses...but nothing "really" Brazilian...
We're really happy to be home and are looking forward to our upcoming trip to TX (This next weekend) where we'll be looking for our new home.
October 11 , 2008
We're Married!!! Thanks to everyone who shared in the celebration with us. We're off to Brazil this afternoon for a week!
August 21, 2008 (Happy 18th Birthday Christopher!)
The house is pretty much all packed...just a few last minute things to do. The sale of the house is so close to being final we can taste it - it's about time!! Selling a house makes me never want to buy one! It's just so much work to get one off your hands - not to mention expensive in this market. Though we feel blessed to just have the house off our hands and be on our way to Raleigh, NC. Thank goodness we are able to rent Aurelio's parents house! I'd hate to have to be looking for a house down there too. Friday we're getting our friends together for one last happy hour and Saturday morning the movers will be here to load our stuff. Monday is the signing of the papers and the closing of the house sale and then we're off to NC :)
August 18, 2008
Had a wonderful time at Christopher's Birthday party in Manchester. Hard to believe he's going to be 18 on the 21st!! Great to see Grammy and Grandpa as well as Colette (who also has a birthday this month ;) ). Christopher already has his tux sized for the wedding! It was great seeing all of you!! Hope you are able to enjoy the rest of the summer - winter is fast approaching...though I'm sure you're all ready for some snow ;).
August 16, 2008
I've just spent the week in NH working on wedding planning and spending time with Dad and Jeanette. I've had a wonderful time going around and looking at the different venues for the reception and thinking about flowers, cakes, center pieces, etc. I think we've decided to do a wine tasting during our reception - everyone should enjoy it!! Also, make sure you are prepared to dance - it's mandatory ;).
If you live in the NH/VT area and have not made it to the Tip Top Pottery place in White River Jct; I highly recommend you get over there!! :) I had so much fun painting pottery there. Jeanette took Grammy Hutchins and me there on Wednesday; Friday I was asking her to take me again!!! You can bring a bottle of wine with you and they have glasses there - it's just the greatest place!!! :)
I also had the opportunity to go Kayaking on Saturday in Eastman; it was so relaxing and enjoyable. Not to mention good exercise...my arms are now buff ;)
Off to bed..............
August 7, 2008
Aurelio proposed today!!!! Yesterday he took me for a mini vacation to Hershey, PA; where we are staying at a horse ranch! Yesterday we got settled in and went for a nice romantic dinner. Today we went horseback riding (where he got down on one knee in the middle of the forest) and then went to Hershey Garden and the Park. Of course it rained just an hour after we arrived at the park, so we were only able to go on one ride - but we had a great time!! At Hershey gardens they have a nice little butterfly exhibit where you get to be around all these different kinds of butterflies; it was so neat!
August 2, 2008
Today I surprised Aurelio by taking him to the Towson mall...to get the new iPhone!! He was all annoyed with me because I was making him rush (they sell out real fast) until I told him we needed to hurry or they wouldn't have any left...you should have seen him pick up his stride!! LOL! Now he thinks I'm the best girlfriend ever - which means I've still got him fooled ;).
It's been a little rainy here today, but no big storms yet. We're having our first "official" open house tomorrow. I'm hoping for a good turn out. Aurelio got a terrific offer in Raleigh, NC and an OK one in Boston, MA...so he's going to see what negotiating he can do and then together we'll decide where we'll be moving. I'm doing my best to stay positive about the move. I know it will be stressful and a little chaotic, but I think it'll be good for both our careers...and I wouldn't mind being closer to my family in MA, or closer to the beach in NC.
We're putting up molding around our front door today; so I've got to get going. I hope you all are doing well!
August 1, 2008
Today has been really busy...mowing the lawn, cleaning the house to prepare it to be shown tomorrow, running errands, etc. I'm looking forward to picking up Aurelio from the airport at 8pm. He's flying back from MA...and apparently already has an offer from them before he's even hit the airport!! Not that I'm surprised - he's quite the catch ;). They'd be lucky to have him! But the offer is a little lower than it would need to be for us to move to Boston - with the cost of living and all factored in.
I'm reading this book called "good in bed" - it's not what you think - about an overweight girl working as a newspaper reporter, it's actually really good. I'm also working on a cross-stitch pattern of wine and cheeses that I'm hoping to finish by the end of the year; will be beautiful to display in a frame around our new house.
June 29, 2008
Well, we've finally put the house up for sale and are planning an open house for this Sunday. We're still not sure whether we'll be heading to NC or TX or MA...only one interview left this Thursday and we'll know.
The weather today was so nice, we took a nice drive down to the inner harbor, went to a nice little pet boutique and stopped by for cheesecake at the cheesecake factory. Lily was able to come with us, which was really nice. She was a good little girl and stayed in my bag most of the time.
We're hoping to take a nice trip next week to relax before the big move ahead of us.
June 24, 2008
Aurelio made it back from Houston safe and sound! His interview went well and he's glad to be back home. Friday he heads off to Raleigh, NC for and interview with Destineer.
We had quite the thunderstorm here in Baltimore last night. My street looked like a small river for a little while; but luckily we have good drainage.
We spent most of the day watching movies and playing board games.
June 22, 2008
Aurelio is on his way to Houston TX as I write this...and so isn't hurricane Dolly...
He'll be there for an interview the next two days. Lily and I have the whole house to ourselves...which only means trouble ;). Just kidding, we've got lots to do to get ready to sell the house...and of course i'm busy playing around with this website too.
I'll let you all know how the interview went upon his return.
Here's praying the hurricane stays away from Houston...
June 21, 2008
I hope you all enjoy my webpage; I certainly enjoyed creating it! I have taken the last month off of work to learn HTML, XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, and am now studying Flash...all in an effort to expand my web development skills. It's such a great feeling to create something from scratch :).
Aurelio is busy interviewing in TX, NC, and MA for a new job in the gaming industry. He's also working on some games for the iPhone; which you will be able to purchase on his new site (once I finish it and get it online). He's quite brilliant :)
Lily is doing well and being her crazy self...I'll let you check out her page to check up on her...
I've been busy planting the garden, painting the back deck and getting the house on the market. We're hoping to sell it within the next couple months so we're able to buy a new one in our next location...here's hoping for MA ;)
