We Did It!!
The Audi TT Roadster was my dream car...Aurelio and I searched and searched to find just the perfect one. Had to be red, and between the years of 2001 and 2004 - to get the right body style. Had to have low miles and be in mint condition. After months of searching we found our little red baby in PA. This was the car we were in when I told Aurleio I was pregnant....and this weekend we said goodbye to her. I of course being all pregnant and hormonal cried like a baby in the dealership after they gave us a great offer on trading in our Audi, but Aurelio stayed strong for the both of us.
So, this weekend it really felt like we started a new chapter in our lives. It was bittersweet as I climbed into our new Outlander and our salesman Dave drove off in "my" Audi TT.
We went to a nice dinner after we left the dealership, to celebrate the new chapter we're about to embark on. We are really happy with all the features in the Outlander and Aurelio activated the Sirus radio for me, as a gift for being so "brave" and "strong"...though we both knew I was neither.
I know the second Baby Reis is born, I'll be saying "what audi?" But for now, there's still a little sting. As Aurelio put it, it wasn't so much like a bandaid being removed but being stitched up after surgery. Takes time to fully heal and move on....so silly to feel that way about a car. I think it was just more than a car to us...had meaning and memories behind it...so we'll keep those and not the piece of metal itself. :)
Here's a photo of my Mother's Day! It's finally warm enough to get into the pool...and Aurelio is finally home to enjoy it with me!
After he mows the lawn - which is starting to look like a field of weeds...he'll join me for some fun in the sun :)
I hope you're having a wonderful mother's day!!
Here are some photos from our first swim in our pool!! We had a great time, even if it was a little on the chilly side. After, Aurelio made some of the most delicious burgers ever!! :)
